Histara (“Histara”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile application that teaches world history through short daily lessons. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Histara is operated by Yaysoft LTD.
We built Histara to work with the minimum data possible: you do not create an account with your name or email, and we do not ask for personal contact details to use the app.
Histara does not require your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or social media accounts to function.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

Where the GDPR applies, we process your data on the basis of: performance of a contract (running the app and subscriptions), our legitimate interests (improving and securing the app), and your consent (push notifications, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings).
We keep your progress data for as long as you use the app so that it remains available to you. If you ask us to delete your data, or you delete the app and request erasure, we remove your associated records from our systems, subject to any limited retention required by law.
Histara is rated for users aged 12 and older and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Our providers process data on Google Cloud infrastructure, which may be located in the United States, the European Union, or other regions. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and protected by access controls on our providers’ infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
